Hub & Spoke Architecture
The Igloo Networked Enterprise Solution enables the creation and management of a networked enterprise of digital workplaces. It provides organizations with an architecture that consists of a centralized hub and a collection of spokes which are connected to the hub for the purpose of sharing common content across the organization.
When you have central headquarters in one country and offices scattered across the globe, there are naturally some business challenges. Time zone differences, language barriers, and different regulatory frameworks, to name a few.
With Igloo Networked Enterprise, multi-national enterprises get a central destination (hub) for content such as: corporate news, policies, and brand resources; and remote offices get their own sites (spokes) connected to the hub. This blend creates a single source of truth for the entire organization while allowing each remote office to create a customized experience to meet their specific culture and business priorities. And a Single-Sign-On experience for each site, and the hub, provides easy access for users and simplified site management for administrators.
Enterprises with Affiliates
Distributed enterprises often have a collection of brands and cultures within the overarching company. Whether they’re franchises, member firms, or other types of affiliates, each brand maintains a certain degree of independence and purpose. Without a method to share information between them, knowledge sharing and idea creation becomes siloed.
With Igloo Networked Enterprise, corporate policies, resources and identities are centralized in a digital hub so you can operate at scale. Business units are given autonomy via individual digital workplaces, but cross company innovation and idea generation are promoted in the centralized hub.
Enterprises with External Stakeholders
With so many moving parts, it’s difficult for extended enterprises to know that business-critical information is getting to the right contacts. They cope with competing priorities, such as customer satisfaction and vendor effectiveness, while trying to improve collaboration, productivity, and communication across the organization.
The extended digital workplace model offered with an Igloo Networked Enteprise enables you to provide external contacts with easy access to a hub that hosts corporate sales and marketing resources, processes, requests forms, and more. Spoke sites can be tailored to suit the needs of specific audiences, such as vendors, partners, and customers, each with a unique content and collaboration experience with member permissions.
Enterprise administration made easy
The Enterprise Administration Panel (EAP) available with the Networked Enterprise Solution adds a superior level of administration. While site admins maintain autonomy over their site (and solutions admins over their assigned solutions), network-level admins can leverage EAP to centrally provision and manage new sites, create site templates, and manage membership and authentication across the whole site network.
